It’s summer time, adapt your training!

Here we are! It’s summer. Finally. This beautiful and anticipated season comes with loads of events, festivals, parties and temptations to miss a training or two. We’ve all been there. It’s warm and sunny, and you ditch your training program at the gym to join friends and get drinks at the beach. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing to blame in this behaviour and enjoying friends in summer is a very important part of life!

But there are ways to adapt your routine to make sure you don’t go off track at the first ray of sun. Once again, it’s all about finding the balance. Why don’t you combine things? Why don’t you combine the pleasure of the beach, with the satisfaction of a workout… Go 30 minutes before your friends to the beach and get a workout done before you start relaxing!

Indeed, the beach offers a perfect setting to perform a quick and efficient session. No equipment required, your body is all you need! Running, swimming, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, plank, burpees, handstand are some of the movements you can perform easily there!

Get out there and have some fun. And you’ll probably end up inspiring your friends to join you for the next session!

But before you go, don’t forget to take a (big) bottle of water and to put sunscreen. And if you feel like you’re overheating, pace yourself and catch your breath!

Have fun!

Here is an example of one of the workouts I did last weekend in Ibiza, try it out and post your time in the comments:

Enjoy the summer!
